Bad Boy Family Reunion — Barclays Center

Two nights at Barclays Center for The Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday and twenty years of Bad Boy — Rebecca Lee was makeup for French Montana and for every dancer on that stage, both nights, beginning with the TODAY Show plaza that Friday morning.

The Weekend

One Friday morning, two Barclays nights

Friday, May 20, 2016 began on the plaza: Puff Daddy & The Family opened the TODAY Show’s Citi Concert Series at Rockefeller Plaza. That night, and again on Saturday, May 21, the Bad Boy Family Reunion filled Barclays Center in Brooklyn — a celebration of The Notorious B.I.G.’s 44th birthday and twenty years of Bad Boy. Rebecca Lee’s chair was working before sunrise and still working at the encores.

The Chair

French Montana — and every dancer on that stage

Rebecca did French Montana’s makeup and all of the dancers’ makeup for the Barclays shows — both nights — and makeup for the morning’s TODAY performance. Arena glam is its own discipline: built for stadium light, choreography, sweat and a camera that never blinks, and built to hold from the first plaza performance to the second night’s final walk-off.
